OUR STORY

MKA Investment Holdings is a real estate startup founded in 2024 by 24-year-old entrepreneur Mr. Michalis Agiannitis.

Michalis has always wanted to work for himself and start his own company from a young age. After finishing his degree in Business with entrepreneurship (BSc) at Goldsmiths University of London, he started working in London at SLB, formerly known as Schlumberger. Working in the operations department taught him many skills needed to start and operate his own company.

After gaining work experience, he decided that the best match, in order to fulfill his ambitions, was to enroll in the Bayes Business School in London to pursue a Master's in Finance and Banking (MSc). A Degree that proved to be mandatory if he wanted to understand the ins and outs of a business. This was a pivotal point in Michails career since he had to choose between a number of different degrees offered. Though since he had already gained some valuable work experience and was determined to form his own company a Master's in Finance and Banking (MSc) proved to be the right choice. After finishing his studies and work experience, he decided to come back to Greece and start something of his own.

Michalis was greatly inspired by his dad, Mr. Nikolaos Agiannitis, an architect involved in major projects and a realtor active in both Greece and Saudi Arabia. From a young age, he was exposed to the real estate sector of Greece, buying properties, renovating them, and selling and renting them. In addition, Greece has seen a surge in prices when it comes to the real estate market, thus it was the perfect time to invest in the rapidly growing Greek market.

Michalis started MKA Investment Holdings in 2024 after months of research into emerging concepts and identifying key gaps within the industry. He tried to combine conventional real estate values with concepts. He realized the growing demand for good rentals in Athens and started working with Piraeus Bank to purchase and renovate real estate, giving them a renewed purpose and added value.

MKA Investment Holdings is a company founded in 2024, operating in the Greek real estate market. The company's operations range from short term rentals, property acquisition to long-term rentals, along with investment driven properties. Auction-based property purchasing accompanied by deep market analysis are the strategic foundation upon which MKA is built upon. Via the use of rental income and financing obtained through business loans the company's model enables expansion in both the residential sectors as well as vocational rentals.

The initial aim was to focus toward the Cyclades complex. Where the volume of tourists supports a very strong short-term renal yield. MKA Investment Holdings has in its portfolio holiday properties that appeal to high-end tourists who value quality, convenience, and well-located accommodations. On the other hand, MKA has expanded into the greater Athens Metropolitan area, focusing on middle-class and upper-middle-class clients. Areas in MKA’s scope include Central Athens, Kifissia, Maroussi, and Vrilissia, along with the upcoming southern suburbs.

To drive market growth, MKA utilizes several audience research models. Demographic and Lifecycle models are able to aim towards young adults, couples, and those who transition into independent living. Regarding the vacation renters, gratification models accompanied by psychographic analysis are used in order to target those who seek a unique experience combined with convenience. Furthermore, targeted research into real estate investors is preparing the company for an expansion to the B2B market in mid-2026, focusing on properties that are involved in the Golden Visa Applications and foreign investors. Further audience segments could include luxury property buyers, retired individuals, and vacation home buyers.

One of the key operational goals for the remainder of 2025 is the formation of a dedicated rental website. Via the use of such a platform, tenants will be able to view all of the available properties and directly rent. By developing such a website, MKA will reduce the reliance of real estate agents and capitalize on eliminating commission fees. The aim set is between 100 to 500 weekly visits on launch week. MKA can't miss out on the marketing opportunity that is presented through the use of social media such as Instagram, TikTok, Meta, and Google Ads, which are often some of the best platforms to raise awareness and gather valuable leads.

To sum up, MKA’s strategic objectives are the expansions to both Athens and Cyclades, the development of a user-friendly and coherent website, and the general improvement of operational efficiency while minimizing costs. The end goal is to maximize ROI and set the foundations for sustainable growth across multiple segments of the rapidly growing Greek real estate market.
